To the members of the Eastern Goldfields BMX club.

I would like to thank those of you that put the time and effort into making the Super Series a successful event. It showed all the competitor's and Visitors that we run a professional BMX club here in the Goldfields.

A special thank you to Steve & Adrian for there excellent and entertaining commentary. Also a big thank you to Mr Miles Sr ( Blu ) for the great Roast dinner.

A huge thank you to the ladies in the canteen for their time and effort they put into making sure everyone had plenty to eat and drink over the weekend.

Thank you to Jane and Lee for their assistance with the first aid even though there kids didn't ride. Thanks to Jay Keeley for the Toilets, EWP, Genset, Bollards & forklift. Thanks to the Dellars for saving the day by lending us there fridge to replace the faulty one.

Last of all i would like to personally thank the committee for the hard work and time they put into the planning of the Super Series. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you

TRACK IS CLOSED FOR MAINTENACE NO ACCESS TO THE GROUNDS UNTIL FRIDAY 4 JUNE 2010.

Friday 4th June 2010
Week 7 racing for the Goldfields Glass Term 2, this Friday NIGHT
Nominations open at 5.45pm and CLOSE at 6.30pm, racing will commence at 7.oopm

We need your donations of Scratchies $5.00 per family and items for Party in a Barrow ( chips, cool drinks, cds, alcohol, nuts, and anything to have a party) the donations have been slow and we need you to HELP your club. THIS IS A MAJOR FUNDRAISER if it is not supported this will affect the CLUB and our riders.

Saturday 5th June 2010
Track opened for practice at 1.30pm this is a cost of $5.00 per rider. We will commence 3 moto’s at 4.oopm these are unscored motos.

Saturday Coaching times are under the Training times TAB on the left hand side of this site.

How can you help the club:
We need senior first aid, flaggers, staging and starters – without the following people on Saturday there will be no event. Please put your hand up to help.

Canteen:
We will have a canteen on Saturday for Lunch and a roast dinner available after racing, please stay and eat and the bar will also be open.
Again we need your help in the canteen to serve and prepare food – I know Justine is really clever however she can’t do it by herself.

Sunday 6th June 2010
BMXWA run the event.

Training times are available on the website and racing commences at 10.ooam. Please check website for further details.

We need your help in the canteen and senior first aid and starters. Please come forward and help your club.

Licensing information and plate numbers
If you have not received your licence please bring your green slip on Sunday you must have your licence or green slip at every event.

If we have not received your plate number by Sunday we will give you a number to races with on Sunday – please ensure you have the correct plate, numbers and colours on your bikes or you will not be scored.

When riders are at the track for training a Parent or Guardian must remain at the track for the duration of the training. No riders will complete any training without a Parent or Guardian onsite. Any queries please contact Chris Hitchcock.

Racing will be moved to Friday the 14th of May 2010. Registration will be closed at 6:45 Sharp. Gate will drop at 7pm. Racing moved this week because of the Busy Bee on Saturday & Sunday.

Busy Bee at the Track on the 15th & 16th May. We need as many members to assist to clean around the grounds and work on the track. We will be starting at 8am. Event Details

Racing:
Friday 4th June 2010
Eastern Goldfields BMX Club – weekly race meeting. Open to all local and visiting riders.
5 motos, Gate drops 7pm sharp. Nominations close 6:30pm, cost $4 1st class, $1 2nd class.


Saturday 5th June 2010
Practice commences at 1pm and concludes at 3.30pm for all riders. (Times TBC)

Four practice motos to be run (commencing at 4pm) for all classes.
Miles Contracting 14+ Pro Open event will be run in conjunction with the practice motos.
$500 minimum prize pool
Nominations open 12.30pm Saturday afternoon (5th June) at our clubrooms.


Cost $5 per rider. $10 if competing in 14+ pro open event.


Sunday 6th June 2010
Running of the BMXWA Super Series Round 8.

Entertainment:
Saturday 5th June 2010
As soon as racing is concluded approx 6pm a licensed bar will open. Dinner will be available for purchase at the track. There will be a roast plus vegies and potato bake. For a plate of roast and vegies it will be $8.50 per plate. Following dinner we will be running a Calcutta on Sunday’s elite age group races.

Any money made from this event goes straight back into making our club facilities better!!!!

his funeral is on Saturday morning,
as a mark of respect, and for those attending the funeral
